We had a busy summer with events to support the Foundation, as well as a commemorative five-a-side football tournament on Saturday 22 June – a year to the date of his funeral.
All bitter sweet, as we remember Will and feel sadness at our loss, yet grateful for the support we have everyone around us in raising funds to carry on our work.
Thank you to the 19 teams that played, the donors and supporters and of course the volunteers that work so hard to support all our events.
The tournament was won by the amazing 'Net 6 and Chill' which certainly was what happened! Well, they netted more than 6! They will be the first name on the commemorative shield!
We would also like to thank Liam Gwynne who represented and supported the Foundation at a car show, Charly Gould who collected at her 21st birthday party and Amber Ibrahim, who undertook the UK 3-peak challenge, completing it in under 25 hours over the baking hot August Bank Holiday weekend.
