The Birmingham City University Rowing Club (BCURC) participated in an ergathon at The Cock and Magpie, a beautiful pub on the banks of the River Severn in Bewdley, Worcestershire on Sunday 17th February 2019. This event was to raise funds for The William Mills Foundation.
Each team of the BCU Rowing Club rowed continuously for four and a half hours; the time it takes to drive from Bewdley to Newcastle via Wellbeck College. These are all places Will completed parts of his education. The rowers worked incredibly hard and we are so grateful for their fundraising efforts!Â
The BCURC raised an incredible £770 for The WMF and over £200 was also collected on the day by generous passers-by. The event welcomed locals, friends and family to join in with the active fundraising efforts. All ages and levels of expertise were welcome to support from the side lines or jump on a rowing machine. It was a lovely day.Â
