2nd Annual William Mills Foundation Golf Tournament

Welcome all to the 2nd Annual WMF Charity Golf Tournament at Bewdley Pines Golf Club, hosted by the Millsy 97 Golf Society on behalf of the William Mills Foundation.

On behalf of the William Mills Foundation, the Millsy 97 Golf Society has recently been born. This to encourage keen golfers in support of the WMF to maintain their relationships through golf, raise money for the foundation and continue to strengthen the relationship with Bewdley Pines Golf Club.

We welcome anyone who would like to take part in the golf, but for those of you who'd prefer to just celeberate, the function room will be open from 6pm to enjoy the awards ceremony and make a donation to the charity through our raffle tickets.

This year we’re offering discounted rates on Millsy97 Golf Society Polo Shirts from Druids Golf, which will cost just £10 if purchased with your tournament ticket. POLO'S NOW SOLD OUT, standard tickets still avaliable. 

Last year was a great success and the day is set to be another blinder, and as always, in support of a fantastic cause.

Your £40 entry payment, or £60 with Millsy 97 Golf Polo from Druids Golf , constitutes:

• Your green fee
• Tea/Coffee and a bacon or vegetarian alternative roll before playing
• Entry to the prize pool including  a selection of wines and golf merchandise.
• Use of the club facilities, with use of the function room and bar from 1730
• A charitable donation to the William Mills Foundation (hugely appreciated!)

Timings

Golfers

1200-1400: Arrivals (tee time dependant) registration, collect food and hot drink.

1300-1500: Tee times (8 mins apart)

1700-1900: Golfers finish, meeting family and friends in the clubhouse.

1730 onwards: function room for evening activity.

Guests

1230: Use of club facilities, grab a bite, grab a drink, socialise with family and friends.

1730: function room available for evening activity

All

1800: Function room open, food available options (TBC)

2000: Awards Ceremony

2130: Food orders close

2230: Last orders for drinks

2300: All guests depart

On The Day

Doubles Texas scramble

Texas Scramble format involves 2-person teams where each player on the team hits a tee shot, and then the players decide which shot they like better. The two players then play from that spot. The person who's shot was not taken picks up their ball and moves it to within one club length of the selected spot

Handicaps

Scramble (2 players) 35% Low / 15% High

Prizes

• Overall winning team
• Overall 2nd team
• Winners front 9
• Winners back 9
• Closest to pin comp on each of the      par 3’s
• 2’s pot (any 2 scored)
• Longest drive 10th hole

General

Tee times are between 1300 and 1500, every 8 minutes and either two or 4 players can play per tee time due to the doubles element of the tournament format (Doubles Texas Scramble)

It is strongly recommended that players arrive 1 hour prior to their tee time. This is to allow for registration, hot food and drink and any practice you wish to conduct before teeing off. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to tee times as a minimum.

If there are any issues with travel and you feel you won’t make the tee time. Please contact us in advance and we will do what we can to re-organise your slot and ensure you still get to play
